What is the first thing that goes into your mouth every morning? Are you one of the millions of people that cannot function without 2 or 3 cups of caffeinated coffee first thing in the morning. All of us know someone or have met someone who says, "Don't even talk to me until I have had my coffee".
The following information has came across my desk from several different health newsletters I subscribe to and it make a lot of sense. I am NOT going to tell you that you have to give up your coffee, so relax.

Every morning take a fresh lemon or 1/2 lemon and squeeze all the lemon juice out of it that you can into an 8 oz glass of warm water. Drink that at least 10 minutes before eating anything or drinking anything else. Years ago, I heard always drink a glass of very cold water in the morning on an empty stomach. I have been doing that for a long time now, however this makes more sense and has evidence to back it up.

Make sure to use fresh organic lemons to make this drink, and not bottled lemon juice. You want to use organic lemons to avoid the pesticides that can accumulate.
