TIPS To Lower Your Blood Pressure

Here are some additional tips to lower your blood pressure naturally. First of all you need to probably get more potassium in your diet and lower your salt intake. You might think that because you do not add salt to your meals with a salt shaker, you are not eating much salt. Truth of the matter is that most of your salt intake comes from foods. This is especially true of canned soups, and other processed foods and especially the munchies/crunchie isle of your grocery store with pretzels, potato chips, popcorn and a host of other over processed empty calorie, high carbohydrate, high salt intake foods. To this list I would add most canned and bottled nuts. Nuts are actually healthy for you, however you need to shop for them at a supermarket that has raw, unprocessed nuts which do not contain preservatives, and added salt and sugar etc. Especially avoid canned or bottled nuts that advertise sweet and salty.

From what I read your best source of potassium is not in the form of a pill or a supplement. Instead it should be from fruits and veggies and raw nuts etc.

Below are some lists of veggies, fruits and nuts that contain natural potassium:

Fruits would include bananas, apples, oranges, pears, plums, apricots, mangoes, berries, melons etc. Just watch the portion size that you do not consume too much sugar in the process.

Nuts would include macadamia nuts and almonds, pistachios, cashews, Brazil nuts (CAUTION on eating more than 2 a day),  Salmon and tuna fish, eggs, wheat germ, bran also contain potassium.

Veggies would include fresh tomatoes, sweet potatoes, white and red potatoes. asparagus, spinach, cabbage, beet greens, white beans and (ALL beans, except read labels and watch the salt and sugar contents of any canned beans), plain non-fat yogurt, PRUNES (watch the sugar content), carrots raw or in a smoothie, dark black strap molasses, cooked soybeans, winter or spaghetti squash, skim milk,

God Bless,

Dan
