One Of The BEST Foods For A Type 2 Diabetic

The avacado is one of the best overall foods a Type 2 Diabetic can eat. WHY? Glad you asked.

Eating an Avacodo a day can help to lower  total cholesterol, lower LDL (the BAD cholesterol) and lower triglycerides and are high in beta-sitosterol.

The 30 grams of fat in a medium sized Avocado is the GOOD kind of fat know as monounsaturated fat. They are also a good source of vitamin K, folate, potassium, vitamin E, lutein, magnesium, vitamin C and B6.

They have been shown to help lower blood sugar in type 2 diabetics.

Why not stop at your local grocer today and start adding avacodoes to your diet.

  3. Dan,
I just watched the Dr. Oz Show and heard George Stella, a low carb chef who lost a ton of weight, recommend spreading ripe avocado on a sandwich instead of mayo. I don't make sandwiches often because of the bread, but you could also spread it on a lettuce leaf if you make turkey, tuna, or ham "rolls," or on sliced cucumbers for a snack. I add sliced avocado to salads...I love it, plus it makes you feel full afterwards.
