I recently came across an article from Reader's Digest concerning 10 super foods and supplements you should be taking if you are a Type 2 Diabetic. I will provide a link for the article and briefly list them here.
Vegetables / packed with nutrients, low in sugar and with a low glycemic index (I have been drinking a lot of my vegetables lately along with fruits in the form of GREEN SMOOTHIES..........See my other posts)
Fruits / low in fat, high fiber content and you can mix them with NON starchy, NON cruciferous vegetables in your Vita Mixer or other high powered super Blender)
Beans / see my last post (white and red kidney beans, chick peas (garbanzo beans) black beans, baked beans, peas, string green beans etc.
Cereal / I still like my OATMEAL with ground flax seeds in the morning along with blueberries and skim milk....high in fiber, helps lower cholesterol and does NOT seem to elevate my blood sugar readings
(WATCH the hydrogenated and partially hydrogenated oils - stay AWAY from them)
FISH - Omega 3 fatty acids, (salmon, mackerel, & tuna are good sources)
Turkey and Chicken Breast / high protein and low in fat
Nuts - especially almonds, walnuts, cashews, peanuts, pistachios are a good source of fiber, magnesium, vitamin E / also shown to help reduce insulin resistance
Extra Virgin Olive Oil / proven heart healthy and also improves glucose readings and reduces insulin resistance
Yogurt - BUY the organic all natural kind - watch the sugar content
Cinnamon / see my post for more detail on the benefits of cinnamon / improves insulin efficiency and lowers blood glucose readings

Healing Scriptures are found throughout the bible. At one point Jesus sent His disciples into the world with the commandment "...to heal every disease..." (Matt 10:1) Jesus said that we "...should always pray and not give up." (Luke 18:1)
Is it God's will for today? Yes! Why would He not want His people to be well today? Not only are we instructed to pray, but also how to pray and seek healing, "Is any one of you sick? He should call the elders of the church to pray over him and anoint him with oil in the name of the Lord. 15) And the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well..."(James 5:14-15)
