Supplements To Consider

I do not normally publish a post on the "Infomercial Type Colored Brochures" that come in the mail once your name gets on mailing lists. That being said, I will provide some information on one I received this week.

I have done several posts on the benefits of Omega 3 fatty acids and why Type 2 Diabetics need to get more Omega 3's that most of us are now getting. I have also done posts on why most experts in the field believe that Krill Oil is much more potent and better for you than grocery store and drug store run of the mill processed fish oil caps. For a review of what I already posted on the subject:

Please Look At:

1/25/2011 POST entitled, "Krill Oil (vs.) Store Bought Fish Oil Caps" for Type 2 Diabetics
7/2/2011 POST entitled, "Omega XL Supplement"
8/1/2011 POST entitled, "Importance Of Omega 3 Fatty Acids For Type 2 Diabetes"

There are quite a few natural Omega 3 supplements out there, all claiming in one form or another to be THE BEST. They obviously all cannot be right. My feeling is do not get hung up on trying to choose the BEST on the planet. There is NO way for an individual to really figure that out and be SURE about it anyway. GET ON SOMETHING, because just like exercise...................doing something is better than doing nothing.

Right now I eat a lot of walnuts, take a couple of tablespoons of Flax Seed Oil every day, eat cashews, almonds, put Extra Virgin olive oil on foods and take krill oil every day, along with as much green smoothies as I can drink and afford the ingredients to make.

Do some exercise, run if you can ....(WALK fast if you can't), do military type  PUSH UPS if you can, (DO them against the stairs if you can't, or off your knees), LIFT weights if you can, LIFT lighter weights till you get where you can go heavier, DO SQUATS with dumb bells if you can and without them if you can't. The point is almost everyone can do something and taking baby steps is OK. Everyone of us crawled before we could walk, and walked before we could run. Nobody starts out rolling out of the crib and wining the Boston Marathon, or coming in first in the Tour de France. Everyone started somewhere.

BACK to the "InfoMercial supplement:

It is called Omega Q Plus and a 3 month supply is $72.87: (which is reasonably priced)

OK, what is in it?

(2) capsules contain the following ingredients:

  • Calamarine oil                                     500mg DHA/EPA
  • Hydro Q-sorb CoQ10                        50 mg (equal to nearly 400 mg of regular CoQ10)
  • L-Cartine Fumarate                             200mg
  • Natural Vitamin E                                50IU
  • Vitamin B12 (as cyanocobalamin)        500mg
  • Vitamin B6 (as pyridoxine HCL)          20mg
  • Folic Acid                                           400mcg
I like the list of ingredients, especially if any of you are also on STATIN drugs for your cholesterol as statin drugs DEPLETE CoQ10 our of your body and your heart NEEDS CoQ10 to remain healthy.

Dan

(Matthew 10:1 NKJV) And when He had called His twelve disciples to Him, He gave them power over unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal all kinds of sickness and all kinds of disease.

(Matthew 10:8 NKJV) "Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out demons. Freely you have received, freely give.
