Green Smoothies As a Counter Measure

I just finished drinking over a quart of green smoothie this noon hour. The drink consisted of 1 medium navel orange peeled, 3 stalks of celery with leaves, a handful of red seedless grapes, 1/2 cucumber. a handful of fresh Uncooked baby spinach, stevia to taste, enough ice cold water to help consistency and 5 ice cubes.

Tonight I will have another green smoothies perhaps substituting kale instead of spinach and perhaps a medium apple instead of an orange. I may also add a sweet red, or yellow or orange pepper in the mix.

I like to think of this as a counter measure of eating the wrong diet and drinking enough diet Pepsi to support the "Pepsi Generation" over the years. I am still doing between 400 and 500 push ups on average weekly, along with walking at least 4 days a week and throwing in some pull ups and squats without the weights for exercise.
The juice from the celery, spinach, orange etc. is alkaline and MOST if not all of us have a PH that is acid and acid causes inflammation.
The celery works wonders for your blood pressure and the greens go a long ways to helping your interstitial fluid remain slightly alkaline.

I just feel better when enjoying green smoothies every day and exercising. If you are IRREGULAR and having constipation problems I think you will find that the smoothies are much better than using over the counter stool softeners and harsh laxatives. DON'T take my word for it. See the LINK below:

EXCERPT:

How laxatives relieve constipation

Laxatives work in different ways, and the effectiveness of each laxative type varies from person to person. In general, bulk-forming laxatives, which are also referred to as fiber supplements, are the gentlest on your body and safe to use long term. Metamucil and Citrucel fall into this category. Stimulant laxatives, such as Ex-Lax and Senokot, are the harshest and shouldn't be used long term.
Following are some examples of common types of laxatives. Other types also exist. Even though many laxatives are available over-the-counter, it's best to talk to your doctor about laxative use and which kind may be best for you.
Type of laxative
(brand examples)
How they workSide effects
Oral osmotics (Phillips' Milk of Magnesia, Miralax)Draw water into colon from surrounding body tissues to allow easier passage of stoolBloating, cramping, diarrhea, nausea, gas, increased thirst
Oral bulk formers (Benefiber, Citrucel, Fiber Choice, Metamucil)Absorb water to form soft, bulky stool, prompting normal contraction of intestinal musclesBloating, gas, cramping, choking or increased constipation if not taken with enough water
Oral stool softeners (Colace, Kaopectate) Add moisture to stool to allow strain-free bowel movementsThroat irritation, cramping
Oral stimulants (Ex-lax, Senokot) Trigger rhythmic contractions of intestinal muscles to eliminate stoolBelching, cramping, diarrhea, nausea, urine discoloration
Rectal stimulants (Bisacodyl, Pedia-Lax, Dulcolax) Trigger rhythmic contractions of intestinal muscles to eliminate stoolRectal irritation, stomach discomfort, cramping
Oral laxatives may interfere with your body's absorption of some medications and food nutrients. Rectal laxatives do not have this effect. Also, some oral and rectal laxatives can lead to an electrolyte imbalance, especially after prolonged use. Electrolytes, which include calcium, chloride, potassium, magnesium and sodium, regulate muscle contraction, heart rhythm, nerve function, fluid balance and other body functions. An electrolyte imbalance can cause abnormal heart rhythms, weakness, confusion and seizures.

Romans 8:31-39

31 What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? 32 He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things? 33 Who shall bring a charge against God’s elect? It is God who justifies. 34 Who is he who condemns? It is Christ who died, and furthermore is also risen, who is even at the right hand of God, who also makes intercession for us. 35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? 36 As it is written:
“For Your sake we are killed all day long;
We are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.”[a]

37 Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. 38 For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, 39 nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
