I eat oatmeal with organic cold milled flax seeds, and blueberries every morning. I might substitute blueberries for the apple and perhaps add a tablespoon of organic cold pressed flax seed oil to it.

Banana Apple Oatmeal Smoothie

Blend time: 45 seconds
Yield: 2 cups (480 ml)

1 cup (240 ml) water |
1/4 cup (60 g) low fat vanilla or plain yogurt |
1/2 banana, peeled |
2 tablespoons (20 g) uncooked quick oats |
1/2 apple |
1/4 cup (30 g) dried cranberries |
1/8 teaspoon ground cinnamon |
1. Place all ingredients into the Vitamix container in the order listed and secure lid. 2. Select Variable 1. 3. Turn machine on and quickly increase to Variable 10, then to High. 4. Blend for 45 seconds or until desired consistency is reached. |
