More on Magnesium L-Threonate For Helping your Memory

I have done a few posts on the importance of magnesium, and why most people do not get enough. I recently did a post on the different types of magnesium and the role that it also plays in your blood pressure readings. In essence if your Blood Glucose levels are HIGH, chances are your magnesium levels are LOW because magnesium is essentially being lost through your urine. Low magnesium levels strongly contribute to HIGH blood pressure.

If you are in this situation, don't automatically have your doctor increase your existing high BP medicine dose or let him or her put you on a NEW prescription without doing some tests and knowing what you are doing. I am NOT playing doctor here, however if you read recent my posts on doctors, nurses, pharmaceutical companies and medical errors being the #1 cause of death here in America, you do have the right to get your questions answered.

That being said, what about Magnesium L-Threonate?

  • IT is a highly absorbable form of magnesium and plays a big role protecting the aging brain's structure and function and why conventional supplements don't deliver enough magnesium to the brain.
  • IT has proven to rebuild ruptured synapses, and restores the degraded neuronal connections observed in Alzheimer's disease and other forms of memory loss.
  • Magnesium deficiency can cause symptoms ranging from apathy, and psychosis to memory impairment and slowing brain recovery  following injury from trauma and in lab studies accelerates cellular aging.

Sources I TRUST to order from are:

Swanson Vitamins, 1-800-824-4491 offering Doctor's Best Brain Magnesium $24.99 for 30 day supply at time of this blog post.

Life Extension magazine folks, POB 407198, Fort Lauderdale. Florida, 33340-7198 - a little pricey, however in my opinon one of the BEST out there.

From my own research, I THINK this may be more effective than the highly touted PREVAGEN available at Walgreen's etc.. I am NOT a scientist or a doctor, however I DO subscribe to several naturopathic type newsletters and websites.

God Bless,

Dan
